We would like to thank The Friends Meeting House in Lexington KY, St Johns Episcopal Church in Versailles, First Christian Church/New Horizon Child Care Frankfort KY and the The Coffeetree Cafe.

The walk to Stop Mountain Top Removal started on February 15th with a 13.5 mile walk to Versailles KY it was a cold day but we were ready and excited to get started. About mid morning Channel 36 KY came out and did a TV interview with some of the walkers from Eastern KY and we arrived in Versailles around 4:30.

On the 16th we had around 16 miles to cover so we set out at a good pace. On one of our rest stops we got confirmation that the time we spent doing the TV interview was worth it when the owner of the property pulled up in his pick up truck and said “hey are you all the people walking to stop mountain top removal? I seen you on the news last night.”

All three nights were spent learning from speakers from the community and watching documentaries on Mountain Top Removal.
