Event Description:
On the Ridge just above the town of Appalachia, Va, a permit is being requested for surface mining. This permit includes areas within the town limits of Appalachia.
Southern Appalachian Mountain Stewards is organizing community members and concerned citizens throughout the region to converge at the permit hearing to say enough is enough and demand that the permit application be revoked.
Join us as we call on the regulatory agencies created to protect our communities to do their job and revoke the permit!!
